Welcome to Calvary Academy's Virtual Parent Night!

We are excited to begin another great school year at Calvary Academy, and we are so glad your family is part of the CA family!

Meet the Teacher Night was our opportunity to welcome families back to campus, introduce you to your student's teachers, and give you a chance to see the classroom and make those important first connections. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Now that the school year is underway, Virtual Parent Night is your opportunity to review important information that will help your family have a successful year at Calvary Academy. We've gathered videos and resources to help you better understand classroom expectations, school procedures, communication, and other important details.

Where to Begin

Please begin by watching the video messages from Calvary Academy Superintendent Dr. Jay Hinckley and Calvary Academy Principal Mrs. Jessica Smith below.

Each family should also receive an introductory email from their student's teacher(s) this week, if you have not already received one.

If you have not received communication from your child's teacher, please contact the Academy Office to verify that we have your current email address on file.

New to Calvary Academy?

We are especially glad you're here! We know there is a lot to learn when joining a new school, and we want to make the transition as easy as possible. Take some time to review the information provided, and please don't hesitate to ask questions.

If you have not yet had the opportunity to meet your student's teacher or visit the classroom, please contact us to arrange a time to come in. Our teachers and staff are always happy to connect with you and help your family feel at home at Calvary Academy.

Thank you for choosing Calvary Academy! We are grateful to partner with you and look forward to a wonderful school year together.

CALVARY ACADEMY APPAREL
Calvary Academy online apparel shop is now closed.  All apparel is uniform approved. Apparel is expected to arrive in approximately two week. We will open a new shop soon!

PE uniforms are required for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. PE Uniform items (shirts and shorts) are included in the online apparel shop. Once the uniforms are received from the vendor and distributed, all students will be required to wear the uniforms for PE class. Students who are out of uniform in PE will receive a zero for the participation grade that day with an option offered to make up the zero in the next PE class. Each student is also allowed one no uniform pass.

DOLLAR DRESS DOWN DAYS
Every Friday will be a “Dollar Dress Down Day.” Students may choose to pay a dollar to wear an expanded selection of clothing items. Failing to pay the dollar for the dress down day will result in a uniform violation. Guidelines for dress down day can be found on the website. Dress Code | Calvary Academy (caspringfield.org) If you would prefer not to remember to send a dollar with your student every Friday, you can pay $33.00 for the entire year. The deadline to pay for the entire year is Friday, August 28. Please bring all payments to the Academy Office.

ATHLETICS
All athletic schedules can be found on our website: Athletics | Calvary Academy (caspringfield.org). Please visit the Virtual Athletic Parent Night for more information.

COMMUNICATION
We are committed to ongoing, timely, and informative communication between school and home. We will primarily use email to notify and inform parents. Please check your email for information sent from Calvary Academy and alert us of any changes or additions to family email addresses. The school will also use text messaging and automated phone calls to communicate emergency information. Please follow Calvary Academy of Springfield on Facebook and Instagram.

CALVARY ACADEMY MUSIC INSTITUTE (CAMI)

The Calvary Academy Music Institute (CAMI) provides students with opportunities to develop their musical talents through private music instruction.

After many years of dedicated service as CAMI Director, Mrs. Laura Powell has stepped down from her role. We are grateful for the years of commitment, leadership, and excellence she has brought to CAMI and to the many students she has taught and encouraged.

We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Kaitlynn Houchin as the new Director of CAMI. As we begin this transition, updated information regarding lesson offerings, pricing, and registration will be announced soon. Families interested in music lessons or those with questions about CAMI are encouraged to contact Mrs. Houchin at KHouchin@CASpringfield.org.

For additional information about CAMI and the music instruction available to students, please visit the CAMI | Calvary Academy webpage.

EARN PIP TIME!
The Parent Involvement Program (PIP) has been a long-standing program at Calvary Academy that grants families $20 of tuition credit for each hour volunteered in our school and classrooms, up to a maximum of 10 hours ($200 total) per school year per family.

One of the best ways to earn PIP time during the school year is to volunteer to work the concessions counter during one of our home games! To volunteer, please complete the online form at www.CASpringfield.org/volunteer or send an email to our Concessions Coordinator, Madison Rembert, at concessions@CASpringfield.org or text her at (217) 836-2116.
