Welcome to Calvary Academy's Virtual Parent Night! It has been a long tradition for us to kick-off the school year with an evening of informing parents of class expectations, reviewing class syllabus, and offering important details. While we want to make this information convenient to you online, we also want you to know our teachers and staff are available to meet in person as needed. If you have not had the opportunity to meet your student's teacher or visit the classroom, please contact us for an appointment. We were thrilled to meet many of you last week during Meet the Teacher Night!

Each of you should also receive an introductory email from your student's teacher(s) this week if you have not already. While most teachers will communicate with parents via email, many classes at Calvary Academy utilize Google Classroom to communicate homework, lessons, and so much more to our students. 

Visit classroom.google.com. Students have been given their Google Classroom email and password. If your student is unsure of their username/password, please encourage him/her to ask his/her teacher. You may also contact the Academy Office for login information. 

Returning students may access Google Classroom with the same email and password from the previous school year.

The FACTS management system you used to enroll your student also provides our families the information needed regarding student grades, behavior, schedules, tuition payments, and more!

Enter the username and password you created during enrollment. 
Select "Parent Log In".

You will find options to view your student's grades and more under STUDENT found on the menu on the left side of the page.

JH/HS ORIENTATION
On the first day of school, the junior high and high school students gather with Mrs. Smith for a presentation regarding dress code, attendance, safety, scheduling, and behavior expectations. Please take time to review the presentation and contact Mrs. Smith with any questions.

CALVARY ACADEMY APPAREL
Calvary Academy online apparel shop is now open!   All apparel is uniform approved. Apparel is expected to arrive approximately two weeks after the shop closes. Shop closes on Sunday, August 31. SHOP ONLINE 

PE uniforms are required for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. PE Uniform items (shirts and shorts) are included in the online apparel shop. Once the uniforms are received from the vendor and distributed, all students will be required to wear the uniforms for PE class. Students who are out of uniform in PE will receive a zero for the participation grade that day with an option offered to make up the zero in the next PE class. Each student is also allowed one no uniform pass. Click to order.

COMMUNICATION
We are committed to ongoing, timely, and informative communication between school and home. We will primarily use email to notify and inform parents. Please check your email for information sent from Calvary Academy and alert us of any changes or additions to family email addresses. The school will also use text messaging and automated phone calls to communicate emergency information. Please follow Calvary Academy of Springfield on Facebook and Instagram.

CHAMPIONS CLUB
The Champions Club is an athletic boosters initiative dedicated to fostering excellence in athletics at Calvary Academy. Our goal is to support our student-athletes not just in competition but also in character and faith and to help them excel both on and off the field. CALVARY ACADEMY MUSIC INSTITUTE
We want to welcome Mr. Casey Newman to our talented list of music teachers! Mr. Newman is offering piano, guitar, violin, and other string instrument lessons!

Allow your child to explore their talent with a ONE-MONTH TRIAL in September for students interested in trying a new instrument. EARN PIP TIME! 
The Parent Involvement Program (PIP) has been a long-standing program at Calvary Academy that grants families $20 of tuition credit for each hour volunteered in our school and classrooms, up to a maximum of 10 hours ($200 total) per school year per family.  

One of the best ways to earn PIP time during the school year is to volunteer to work the concessions counter during one of our home games!
